Egypt's GDP: LE 617 Bln+

the total value of final goods and services produced in Egypt for the last fiscal year surpassed LE 617 Bln, roughly the equivalent of US$ 108 Bln. The GDP per capita is then US$ 1440 based on a population of 75 million.

Dear Nadet masr : The value of Gross Domestic Production in dollars depends on purchasing power parity not the official exchange rate and the purchasing power parity of the egyptian pound equals 0.675 dollars so the 617 LE Bln means 416.5 Bln US dolllars they calculate it this way . I hope Iam not wrong

Dear Egyptian Legend, I think you are right on that there is a measure that takes into account the adjusted purchasing power, although I don't know the technical term for it -maybe the one you suggest- and I don't have the figure for that, again, maybe you are right, I remember that three years ago, the GDP per capita was US$ 1,200, but the adjusted one was about US$ 3,800. Thanks for the clarification.
