Unified Law for building Mosques and Churches

This is good news for a change! Dr. Mostafa El-Feqi, the head of the foreign relations committee in the Egyptian Parliament just mentioned two wonderful pieces of news in a TV interview on Soaal show:
  1. He is working on a new legislation that would unify the requirements for building houses of worship; that means that building a church will need to meet the same requirements as building a mosque.
  2. He is making an effort to delete the Religion field on the ID card.

If these two initiatives materialized, they will form a big step in the quest for freedom of religion, and public unity in Egypt.

This is a nice blog (came here through Drima) -

It is so important to stay critical of 'our own' governments and societies. I see you got this notion as well...

Trying to divert us into external problems that are or are not existing is what keeps us ALL oppressed....

Tse, thanks for stopping by! it's amazing how wonderful it is that you get rid of your fear, and speak the ideas you have in your heart, seeking a utopian society!
